Assam Polytechnic (PAT)  Counselling will be performed through offline mode. Assam PAT will be organized for admission into diploma courses in Polytechnic of Assam. These courses are accessible in the field of engineering & non-engineering. It is a state level test managed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.

• After the result announcement, the counseling will commence.
• It will begin from July 2023 through offline mode.
• Only those students who will qualify the exam they will be eligible to appear for the counseling process.
• You need to report in order of their category/caste.
• Those who pass the exam have to appear in the interview round for final selection for admission at counseling center.
• The seat will be allotted to students on the basis of the category, merit, preferences of students & availability of seats.
• Selected have to report to the Institutions for final admission

Assam Polytechnic Counselling Procedure

• Authority will organize the interview round to select diligent students conditionally for admission into polytechnic colleges.
• Counselling/interview round will be conducted via offline mode.
• Date & venue of the counseling center is available on the website.
• At the time of the interview, choice of courses & Polytechnic will be determined on the basis of merit.
• Those once admit in one polytechnic will not be well thought-out for admission in any other polytechnic.
• Those belonging to reserved categories whose are in the merit list of the reserved category are also placed in the General Merit List in the particular position.
• Those of different reserved categories whose roll number are in the General Merit List have also reported on the date for General category students.
• Students can take admission only once, moreover as general or as a reserved category.
• Those taken admission in any one category will not be appropriate to get admission in another category.
