How to Apply GATE 2019 Examination, Every year, the GATE- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering notification is announced in the month of August. Candidates only online apply for GATE examination. If you are interested in taking the GATE exam, you can interact with GATE office through an online process- GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). All interested candidates online register and pay application fee through GOAPS via the online and offline process.
GATE is a national level entrance test for admission to Postgraduate (PG) courses in the field of engineering and technology. Students can get admissions into M.Tech./P.h.D programs in IITs, IISc, IISERs and other reputed institutions through GATE score card.
How to Apply GATE 2019 Examination

GATE Online Registration can be done by providing a valid email address (one time), contact number, and a GOAPS password. GOAPS has to be given to you during enrollment.
Upon registration, an email containing the GOAPS ID is sent to you. GOAPS-ID and password are used for further login. Some documents ready at the time of filling online application form.
- Collect all personal information like- name, DOB, contact number, etc.
- Postal and communication address (with pin code)
- Details of qualifying or eligible degree
- Choice GATE papers
- Choice of GATE examination centers
- Scanned documents (Photo, signature and thumb impression, degree, category certificate)
- Details of ID Proof
Identity (ID) Proof
Students need to enter the specified number in their identification card such as passport No. Voter-ID No. Pan Card No. Aadhaar (UID) No. valid college ID, Employee identification card. For international candidates, a valid passport only is accepted as the recognized identification.
GATE 2018 Application Form Filling
The GOAPS allows you to enter data, save the partially filled form, log out and resume filling in by logging in again.
GATE online application form must be filled with carefully, as minor mistakes in filling the application form may cause the rejection of the same. Before you make the payment, you will be shown a preview of your form, where you have a check for any mistake. After you press confirm and finally submit button, no further changes to the application can be made.
How to Pay GATE Application fee
GATE application fee payments have to be made through online by using net banking or credit/debit card or E-challan.
