Education Qualification Criteria

Eligibility for Soldier General Duty (GD) All Arms: SSLC or Matri with 45% scores in aggregate and 33% in each subject. No percentage required for a higher qualification that is 10+2 and above.

Age Criteria: 17^1/2 to 21 years

Eligibility for Soldier (Technical) Technical Arms, Artillery, Army Air Defence

(a). Soldier Technical: 10+2 or intermediate exam is done in Science with Chemistry, Physics, Maths, and English with 50% scores in aggregate and 40% scores in each subject.

(b). Soldier Tech (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner): 10+2 or Intermediate class pass in Science stream with Chemistry, Physics, Maths and English with 50% scores in aggregate and 40% scores in each subject. Or 3-year diploma in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Automobiles/Computer Science/Mechanical Engineer and Electronic & Instrumentation engineer from the recognized polytechnic institute.

Age Criteria: 17^1/2 to 23 years

Eligibility for Soldier Clerk/Store Keeper Technical (All Arms): Intermediate/10+2 class pass in any stream (Science/Art/Commerce) with 60% scores in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Should have studied and passed English and Math/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 10^th or class 12^th scores in each subject. If any case of a graduate with math and English as a subject in B.Sc, the stipulation of 50% in class 10^th and class 12^th is waived off. In case of graduate without English and math/Accts/Book Keeping, he should have secured more than 50% in English and math/Accts/Book Keeping at least once in class 10^th and 12^th.

Age Criteria: 17^1/2 to 23 years

Eligibility for Soldier Tradesmen (All Arms ): High School (10^th)/ITI (except Syce. Mess Keeper and House Keeper-who may be 8^th class Pass.

Eligibility for Soldier Tradesmen: Syce, Mess Keeper and House Keeper who may be an 8^th class pass.

Age Criteria: 17^1/2 to 23 years

Eligibility for Havildar Education (Army Education corps): Group X- MA/M.Sc./MCA or BA/B.Sc./BCA/B.Sc (IT) with B.Ed.

Group-Y- B.Sc./BA/BCA/B.Sc.(IT)(w/o B.Ed)

Age Criteria: 20 to 25 years
