Important News for JEE Main Candidates

Recently, some changes have been made by the conducting authority (CBSE)

  • While calculating the All Indian Rank for JEE Main, percentage marks of class 12 will not be taken into consideration now.
  • Candidates to able qualify for IITs, NITs, CFTIs, the candidates must give scored 75% marks (65% for reserved categories) in senior secondary (10+2) examination.
  • All candidates must have an Aadhaar
  • However, candidates from Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir and Assam will enjoy relaxation in this provision. Applicants from these regions must have a valid government id proof number (voter-ID, ration card, passport) to bet the centre for examination in their state only.

Eligibility Criteria JEE Main Exam 2019

Educational Qualification:

  • Qualifying Exam: It is necessary for the applicants to pass 12th class with the core 5 subjects in order to be eligible for JEE Main Exam 2019
  • Subjects: Applicants must qualify the 12th class with PCM subjects
  • Qualifying Marks: It is necessary for the candidates to acquire 75% in 12th class and 65% for reserved categories.
  • However, applicants have to secure the passing marks
  • Passing year: Those who had done or appeared in the higher secondary examination in 2017-18 will also apply this test
  • Diploma Holders: Diploma holders will be eligible to apply for JEE Main 2019 but only eligible for admission to IITs. That means they are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced but the scores of JEE Main score will not be taken into consideration for admission.

Age Criteria

  • Applicants must fall on or after 1st October 1994 for general applicants and 1st October 1989 for reserved candidates.
  • 5 years relaxation for the reserved candidate (SC/ST/PWD) that is DOB must fall on after 1st October 1989.

JEE Main Admit Card 2019
