JKCET 2018 counselling will be started after the declaration of result. The counselling will be organised through offline mode in the first week of July 2018. The counselling schedule will be announced in two leading English newspaper of the state and also on the website. Students have to present physically in the counselling process. The seat will be allotted to the students on the basis of their rank/ merit, filled choice and seat availability at the time of counselling. Students have to submit Rs. 1000 as a counselling fee. The fee is non-refundable. The fees can be paid at the POS terminal available at BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu by using ATM Card/ Credit card/ Debit card.

Counseling procedure

• Students have to appear in the counseling physically. In some unavoidable situation, it is not possible for the student to appear personally in the counseling. They will be sending their duly authorized representative with an undertaking and authority letter to the effect that allotment made on the basis of the choice mentioned by such representative will be binding on him/ her.
• The counseling will be held through offline mode. Students will be called for the counseling on the basis of the merit list.
• Students have to join the programme after the allotment of discipline/ institution within a given time period. If the student will be not joining the courses within the specified time frame. Their seat will be automatically cancelled and the same seat will be filled up as a vacant seat.
• During counseling. Students have an opportunity to choices/ preferences about allotment of courses/ institutions.

Students have to bring the given document in original along with a set of attested photocopies of these certificates:

• JKCET Admit card
• 10^th and 12^th mark sheet
• Permanent resident certificate
• Character certificate
• 10^th and 12^th passing certificate
• Date of Birth certificate
• Category certificate
