Latest News: It is notified the CBSE will manage the UGC-NET JRF & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on 19th November 2017. The applicants who desire to appear in the test may see the detailed notice available on the official portal on 24th July 2017. The candidates to online apply from 11th August 2017 to 11th September 2017 and fee can be paid up to 12th September 2017.

CBSE UGC NET Important Dates November 2017 (Announced)

CBSE NET Closing date for online applying:-11th September 2017
CBSE NET Ending date of registration fee for Bank Challan (Canara, ICICI, HDFC, SYNDICATE):-12th September 2017

Applicants should hold master’s degree or its equivalent test in social science, electronic science, humanities, computer science and applications etc. With at least 55% score from a UGC authorized university. Applicants of reserved category need to obtain minimum 50% score in the qualifying degree. Those candidates who are appearing in final year master’s degree test or appeared but awaiting for their result can apply for the examination, subject to score qualifying marks. PhD degree holders are eligible to apply in this test but their Master’s degree final exam had been done by 19th September 1992 with minimum qualifying scores as we have specified above 55% for general and 50% for reserved like SC/ST/PWD/OBC.

Applicants do not need to send any documents/certificates as the proof of their eligibility or extra printout of application to the authority. However, it is strongly advised to applicants to put genuine details in respect their qualification ad age. No upper age limit for Assistant Professor.

Age for JRF: Junior Research Fellowship- Maximum age should not be more than 28 years as on 1st December 2017. Five-year relaxation for reserved candidates like SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women.

CBSE UGC NET Exam Pattern More details check of Exam Pattern

Check the prescribed exam pattern of CBSE NET December 2017:

  • Three papers involved in this test.
  • Only objective type questions will become all these papers.
  • All three exam organized on the same date.

First Paper-1: 100 marks (50 questions to be attempted out of 60 questions) Time duration of 1 ¼ hours (9:30am to 10:45am).

Second Paper-2: 100 marks (50 questions all are compulsory) Time duration of 1 ¼ hours (11:15am to 12:30am).

Third Paper-3: 150 marks (75 questions all are compulsory) Time duration of 2 ½ hours (02:00pm to 04:30pm).

All the questions of Paper-2 and 3 will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options). The applicants will have to mark the responses for questions of paper-1, 2 and 3 on the optical marks reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the test booklet.

      Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test.
