NID Admission Criteria 2018: Admission to All of the design courses at NID will be done on the basis of two-stage competitive test i.e. DAT (Prelims) and DAT (Mains). The authority will declare final merit list after the successful completion of both the stages. Applicants whose names are in the final merit list will be shortlisted for admission into NID campuses. Applicants have to report to the respective NID campus along with the necessary documents. Documents should be produced in the original.

Eligibility Criteria for NID 2018
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria before applying this Test.
For Undergraduate (UG) courses:
- Applicant must have passed/appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
- The maximum age limit is 20 Year for the students.
For Postgraduate (PG) courses:
- The maximum age limit is 30 years for the candidates.
- Candidates should have appeared or passed the bachelor degree from any recognized institution or University.

Exam pattern of NID 2018
- There is only one question paper of DAT (Design Aptitude Test) for the candidates.
- The time limit will be 3 hours for solving the question paper in this examination.
- In this question papers, the marks of question will 100 only.
- The question paper of this exam will comprise of subjective and objective type questions.
- The mode of the language will English for this examination
Admit Card NID 2018
In the Fourth week of December 2016, the admit card will be available for the candidates. They can visit the official site to download the admit card of NID examination. In the Admit card, there are much information such as candidates roll number, Name, Exam Center, Date and Time, etc. Candidates must have to bring the admit card to the examination hall. Result NID 2018
In the month of February 2017, the result will be provided for the candidates. Candidates can check their result/marks through the official portal/site of NID 2017. A merit list will be declared on the basis of candidate’s performance and their marks.In the final week of May 2017, the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s marks. www.criteria.in

My brother has cleared his 12th exams this year but wants to do coaching and drop this year for NID Admission entrance for the next year 2018 as he was not able to pass from 1-2 marks
His Date of Birth is 19 June 1998
Currently, the eligibility criteria on NID website is not out for 2018 admissions but If we see the eligibility criteria for 2017 admissions, the required age as of 30 June 2017 is 20 Years.
He will be 20 years of age on 19 June 2018 which means only 11 days of difference from the age criteria.
Kindly confirm if we need to wait for NID admissions eligibility criteria for 2018 or we process to some other colleges and do not let him drop the year.
He really wanted to give exam for NID as it is his dream. Please let me know so that we can prepare ourselves. Does the difference of 11 days matters ?
