NIOS Secondary Senior Secondary Admission 2018-2019, The National Institute of Open Schooling was set up as the national open school in 1989 by the ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, as an autonomous organization. It provide educational opportunity to persons who wish to study further and qualify for a better tomorrow.

The students has the option to choose any subject combination from the list of subjects offered as per the criteria given in the scheme of studies: in case students wishes to use NIOS certificate for higher studies, it is in his/her own interest that he/she keeps in mind the requirement of the Boards/Universities where he/she wish to join after passing Secondary and Senior Secondary courses from NIOS.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Norms for Secondary Course:

• The minimum age to take admission in the secondary course is 14 years as on 31^st July 2018 (born on or before 31^st July 2004)
• A student who has passed class 8^th and has valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply for registration to the Secondary course.
• A student giving a self certificate “I have studies enough to be able to pursue secondary course is also eligible for admission to the secondary course.
• A student who had studied at the secondary level can also seek admission in NIOS either to complete his course or to improve his performance.

Eligibility Norms for Senior Secondary:

• The minimum age to take admission in the Senior Secondary course is 15 years as on 31^st July 2018 (born on or before 31^st July 2003)
• In order to take admission in the Senior Secondary course, the learner must have passed the secondary course from a recognized Board.

How to Fill the Application Form?  

• After submission of online application form admission to Stream-1, you will get a confirmation on your email and mobile number submitted during registration process.
• You can make the payment during the registration process.
• After successful payment of the admission, you can download payment receipt and your application form from your dashboard.
• Study material books from NIOS will be sent to you within 15 working days after receipt of the payment to NIOS.
• Now you may have to submit the printed application form along with the documents and photograph which will be communicated to you through email and SMS.
• After successful verification of the required documents/photo uploaded during registration you will get a confirmation on your email and mobile number along with the enrolment number.
• Finally you will be able to download your Identity card from your dashboard after login only after the admission is confirmed and the enrollment number is generated.

Date of Admission Block-I

• 16^th March to 31^st July 2018: without late fee
• 1^st August to 15^th August 2018: with late fee of Rs.200/-
• 16^th August to 31^st August 2018: with late fee of Rs.400/-
• 1^st September to 15^th September 2018: with late fee of Rs.700/-
