Minimum Eligibility Criteria Required

In order to apply for UPSC IFS 2018 students essentially required to fulfill following criteria:

UPSC IFS Notification Criteria

Check out the nationality criteria mentioned below, you need to meet with one of the following criteria:

1. A resident of India
2. PIO category students who have migrated from, Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, Uganda, East African countries of Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia Vietnam.
3. A subject of Bhutan/Nepal,
4. Tibetan refugees came in Indian earlier than 1 January 1962 for setting here permanently;

Age Limitation: in between 21 years 32 years (Relaxation in age by 5 years will be provided to candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC category students). 

Educational Qualification

• Students should hold a graduation degree in Forestry, Agriculture of Engineering obtained from a recognized state of the centre university.
• Students should be graduated one the following subject namely Botany, Animal Husbandry, and Veterinary Science, Mathematics, Zoology Chemistry, Physics, Geology, & Statistics. Or,

• Deadline to submit the application form: 6th March 2018
• Examination date (pre): 3rd June 2018
• Examination date (Main): 2nd December 2018

UPSC IFS 2018 How to Apply?

Online application form for IFS 2018 will be available on the official portal of Union public Service Commission (UPSC) i.e. www.upsconline. Nic.in. The registration process must be completed by students in the prescribed format and by using valid information.

Application fee: Rs. 100/- (Excluding SC/ST or female category students)

UPSC IFS 2018 Exam pattern

Pattern for Preliminary Exam

1. Language mode: English & Hindi
2. All question is objective type in nature.
3. Negative Marking: 1/3 marks gets deducted for every incorrect response.
4. Exam duration: 2 hours
5. A preliminary exam will here two papers containing 200 marks for each.

There will be six papers and all papers are required to be answered in English only.
