Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer Selection Process

Age Limit: The minimum age of the candidates is 17.5 years and the maximum age of the candidates is 23 years.

Educational Qualification: The candidates must complete the 12th standard and secure 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  1. For a 1.6 km run
  • Group 1: 5 min 30 sec for 60 marks
  • Group 2: 5 min 31 sec to 5 min 45 sec for 48 marks
  1. Beam (Pull-ups)
  • 10 Pull-ups – 40 marks
  • 9 Pull-ups – 33 marks
  • 8 Pull-ups – 27 marks
  • 7 Pull-ups – 21 marks
  • 6 Pull-ups – 16 marks
  1. There will be 9 feet ditch test.
  2. The final test will be a zigzag balance.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

As per the physical standards the Physical Measurement Test will be carried out.

Medical Test

After clearing the Measurement Test, the candidates will report to military hospitals within 5 days. Review the medical exam by the Military Hospital within 14 days as per policy.

  • The candidate should have a robust physique and good mental health.
  • The chest must be well developed having a minimum 5 cm expansion.
  • The candidate must have normal hearing in each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. With each eye, the candidate must be able to read 6/6 in the distance vision chart. The color vision should be CP-III.
  • Candidates need an approximate number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum of 14 dental points.
  • There are no diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicocele, or piles.
  • Must recognize red and green colors.

Common Entrance Examination (CEE)

  • The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) or the written test is the final stage of the selection process.
  • At the nominated venue only medically fit candidates will go further for this test.
  • Through admit cards, the date and time will be intimated at the rally site for the written exam.
  • At the rally site, only the admit card for the CEE will be issued to the candidates.
  • Admit cards for the CEE for the review fit cases will be issued after they will be declared medically fit by the concerned specialist at MH.
