Time Duration of CSIR Exam: 3Housr                                              Maximum Score:- 200 Marks

CSIR UGC (JRF) NET exam for award of Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship Shall be single exam having Objective type questions or multiple choice questions (MCQs). CSIR question paper is divided into three important sections.

Section-A:- This Section shall carry 20 question pertaining to General Science (GS), Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis and Research Aptitude. Applicants shall be need to answer any 15 questions. Every question shall be of two marks. The total score allocated to this section or part shall be 30 out of 200 questions.

Section-B:- This Section shall contain 50 objective type questions or multiple choice questions (MCQs) normally covering the topics given in the syllabus. A applicants shall be need to answer any 35 question. Every questions shall be of 2 marks. The total score allocated to this section or part shall be 70 out of 200 questions.

Section-C:- This Section shall carry 75 questions that are designed to test a applicants knowledge of scientific concepts or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a applicants is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to provide scientific problems. Applicants shall be need to answer any 25 questions, every question shall be of 4 marks. The total score allocated to this section or part shall be 100 out of 200 questions.
