Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Selection Process:
Applicants would be selected based on their performance in Screening Test, Main Examination and Viva/voce test.
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Screening Test:
- Screening test will be conducted in the duration of two hours
- Screening test consist of one paper of General Knowledge of 120 questions of multiple choice answers for short listing applicants for the Main Examination.
- Marks obtained by students in the screening test will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s(HPPSC) Main Examination:
- Applicants who have been declared qualified in the Screening test they will be entitled for admission to the (Main) written exam
- Exam consist of four papers.
- Applicants have to pass all the four subjects.
- Marks obtained by the candidates in the main examination (written part as well as interview) would conclude their final ranking.
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission’s Viva -Voce Test:
- Applicants, who will qualify the main written examination on the basis of merit, shall be called for Viva-Voce Test/personal interview.
- Total number of candidates to be called for viva-voce on the basis of written exam shall be three times the total number of posts advertised.
- Marks obtained by students in the main written exam as well as in the viva-voce would conclude their final merit.
- In case two students get same marks, order of merit shall be determined in accordance with highest marks secured in the viva-voce and shall the marks in the viva-voce of students who tie be equal, then the order of merit shall be decided in accordance with the maximum marks obtained by such applicants in the aggregate of the written exam
