How to Join IMA?
Dear students Common exams will be organized through which you can join IMA, list of exams are given below;
NDA Exam:
- Those who have passed the 12th class with PCM, are eligible to appear in NDA.
- Age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.
- After passing NDA exam, applicants will undergo 3-year training at NDA Khadakwasla and after that 1-year training at IMA.
- Notification for NDA Exam gets released twice a year in the month of June and Dec.
CDSE Exam:
- A male category graduate who has cleared the CDSE and the subsequent stages (SSB and Medical Fitness) they are eligible to join the IMA.
- Advertisement gets released twice a year, in the month of March/ April and September/October.
Technical Graduate Course (TGC):
Those who are in the final year or have completed BE/BTech in the required subjects are eligible to Join IMA through Technical Graduate Course.
- The duration of the training is 1 year.
- Check the advertisement published in leading newspapers/employment news in May/Jun & Nov/Dec every year.

Physical Eligibility Required to Join the IMA
Few precise physical criteria to Join IMA are listed below,
- Strong physical & mental health
- Should not undergo from bones or joints disease
- Commonly developed chest with an extension of 5 cms
- No signs of illnesses linked to organ
- No skin illness
- Defects in the sample of urine must not be observed
- 4 km for the male category in 10 minutes, and 13.50 minutes for the female category.
