Eligibility Criteria to qualify IRAS 2024
To fill up application form IRAS 2024 exam, applicants need check their eligibility as per nationality:
- He/she should be a citizen of India
- He/she should belong to Nepal or Bhutan
- He/she may be a Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, for permanently residing in India.
- He/she may migrate from any of the following countries for permanently residing in India: Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.
IRAC Educational Qualification 2024
- Bachelor’s Degree from any of the universities or institutes which are recognized by the UGC or its equivalent
- Applicants must have appeared or to appear for the qualifying exam.
- Applicants may attempt or appear for the Preliminary Exam if his/her results are awaited.
- Students who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination.
- Those who have completed their medical degree yet, but the internship is still pending can appear for this civil service exam..
- Applicants who has a professional and technical qualification recognized by the Government or its equivalent can apply
Age Limit :
Students should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years
Upper age limit prescribed above is relaxable for the following candidates:

Civil Service Examination Pattern
IRAS exam is conducted in three parts: Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
- Preliminary exam: Prelims will contain two papers each will be 200 words. There will multiple types of questions you will find on the prelims exam. For blind candidates, 20 minutes extra will be provided for each paper.
- Main Examination: The main exam will be about 20-25 Marks. Those who will clear the Main exam IRAS 2024 will be qualified for an Interview.
- Interview: This step will evaluate the general knowledge, confidence level, and competencies of the candidates. Final result of the interview will depend on the marks obtained from the Main exam and interview.
