About Garhwal Rifles:
Garhwal Rifles as a Regiment came into being on 05 May 1887 at the instance of Field Marshal Sir FS Roberts, VC, KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSE, the then C-in-C of India. Lt Col EP Mainwaring raised the First battalion at Almora on 05 May 1887 and move it to Kaludanda (later renamed as Lansdowne after the then Viceroy of India) on 04 Nov 1887. The Regimental Centre was established at Lansdowne on 01 Oct 1921.
The GARHWAL RIFLES Regiment Centre (GRRC) is now located in the State of Uttarakhand. This regiment centre will support the candidates who lost their lives in the Battleground.

Garhwal Rifles Bharti 2024 Eligibility Norms:
Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be in between 17 to 23 years (tentatively). Age will be relaxable for reserved category candidates according to the rules and regulations of the Indian Army.
Educational Qualification:
Soldier (General Duty):
Candidates must complete Matriculation/ 10th Class/ Madhyamik from a recognized board
Soldier (Store Keeper/ Clerk):
Candidates must complete 10+2/ 12th Class with Maths, Physics, Chemistry as subjects from a recognized board.
Soldier (Tradesman):
Candidates must complete 10th Class with ITI in the necessary trade from a recognized Institute.
Physical Standards:
Height: 169 cm
Chest: 77 cm to 82 cm (Expanded)
Weight: 50 kg
Race Ability:
Candidates complete 1600 meter race in 5 minutes 40 seconds he get 60 marks and who completes 5 minutes 41 second to 6 minutes he gets 48 marks.

Garhwal Rifles Bharti 2024 Admit Card
Applicants who had applied for the recruitment rally are shortlisted to the rally based on their academic performance.
Based on their performance in the physical tests, candidates will be shortlisted for a written test/ screening test.
Candidates will be informed about the Screening test date and examination pattern. Admit cards will be made available to the candidates one week before the commencement of the examination.
Admit card will contain all the details like Name of the Candidate, Father Name, Examination Date, Examination Duration, Venue of the Examination, Passport size photograph.
