Indian Army Selection Process 2023 : Fit/Unfit Candidates List
Applicants who are desirous of getting enrolled in the Indian Army they are required to apply online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. After registration you are required to follow instructions as given out and apply for the selected trade for which they are eligible.
Applicants shall be given a date and place for conduct of Physical Fitness tests, the process for which is specified below.
Recruitment Procedure
- Applicants will be tested in Physical Fitness Tests (PFT).
- Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) is necessary
- Exam will be carried out for all categories for the duration of the screening process of employment to check applicants physical ability and courage.
Following tests will be concluded as part of (PFT) :
- 6 km run for Endurance.
- Pull Ups on Beam (Under Grip) for Strength.
- 9 feet Ditch for Courage.
- Zig-Zag Balance for Agility.

- Upto 5 mins 30 secs – 60 Marks (Group I)
- From 5 mins 31 secs to 5 mins to 45 secs – 48 Marks (Group II)
- Above 5 mins 45 secs – Fail
Pull Ups on Beam (Under Grip)
Marks for pull-ups on beam will be as follow

Min 6 Pull Ups are necessary to be done for the applicant to pass.
Weightage in Merit
- Tradesmen with Aptitude Test – 30% (PFT) marks + 30% (CEE) marks + 40% Tradesman Aptitude Test marks.
- Tradesmen without Aptitude Test – 60% (PFT) marks + 40% (CEE) marks.
- Tradesmen Musician – 50% (PFT) marks + 25% Aptitude Test marks + 25% (CEE) marks.
- Havildar Survey Automated Cartographer – No Weightage.
