KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before filling the KEAM 2024 Application Form, you need to check the complete eligibility criteria.

Nationality:

  • Appearing applicants must be an Indian citizen.
  • (PIO) and (OCI) are also eligible to apply but they are not entitled to claim any reservation.

Category wise Eligibility:

Applicants are categorized as follows:

Keralite:

  • Those who hold the domicile certificate of Kerala will come in this category.
  • If the parents are the employee of All India Services of Kerala then the children will be considered as ‘Keralite’ and eligible to apply

Non-Keralite-1:

  • Applicants who are not Kerala origin and even their parents also don’t have any residence proof of Kerala, but satisfying the following candidates:
  • Passed their qualifying exam from Kerala and Parents are posted in Kerala and employee of defense or central government.
  • Applicants whose parents are serving/served Kerala Govt for a period of 2 years and appearing/appeared qualifying exam from Kerala will come in this category and eligible for applying.
  • In case, if applicants is not the permanent resident of Kerala but spent 5 years of his/her study in Kerala then he/she is also qualified.
  • Those who do not have domicile official document of Kerala but completed/pursuing their 8th to 12th studies from Kerala are also eligible for KEAM 2024.

Note: 

Applicants of Non-Keralite-1 will be measured for ‘State Merit’ seats of Engineering/B.Pharm/Architecture/Medical & Allied courses. These candidates are not appropriate to claim any reservation.

Non-Keralite Category II:

  • Those who do not fall under Keralite or Non-Keralite-1 will come under Non-Keralite Category II.
  • This category applicants will be eligible for admission to Government seats and Management quota seats in Engineering courses in Government Controlled Self financing Colleges.
  • NK II applicants are also eligible for admission to a maximum of 10% seats under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Pharmacy colleges.
  • (NK II) candidates are not eligible for admission to Medical and Allied Courses including MBBS/BDS and for admission to Government Engineering Colleges.

Age Criteria for KEAM 2024

  • Minimum age should be 17 years.
  • There is no upper age limit for KEAM 2024 examination.

Qualification Criteria:

Appearing Candidates are also eligible.

For Engineering Courses:

  • You should qualify the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent thereto from a recognized board.
  • If candidates have not studied computer science & chemistry subjects, then the marks scored in Biotechnology will be considered.
  • In case, applicants who had not study Chemistry, Biotechnology and Computer Science, the marks secured in Biology will be considered.

For B.Tech (Dairy Technology):

Qualifying Exam: Pass the 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.

For Agriculture Course (B.Arch):

  • Qualifying Exam: completed 10+2 or equivalent examination
  • 10+3 Diploma (any stream) can also apply for this exam.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (after 10 years of schooling) with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination can also apply.
  • Subjects: Pass the qualifying exam with Mathematics as a subject of study.
  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above exam with 50% aggregate marks.

For Pharmacy Courses:

For B.Pharm Course:

Qualifying Exam: Pass Higher Secondary Exam or its equivalent examination.

For Medical & Allied Courses:

  • For MBBS, BDS, BSMS Courses:
  • Qualifying Exam: pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent examination from recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology subjects.

For BAMS/BHMS Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.

For BUMS Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from recognized board.
  • Subjects: Pass the above examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
  • Minimum Marks: Pass the above examination with 50% marks in PCB subjects & 50% marks separately in Biology.

For B.Sc(Hons.)Agriculture/Forestry, BFSc Courses:

Qualifying Exam: Pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from recognized board.

For BVSc. & AH Course:

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass 12th or its equivalent examination from recognized board.
  • NEET Score: Only NEET 2024 appearing candidates can apply for this exam.

For B.Sc Degree Holders:

Qualifying Exam:  B.Sc degree with Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany or Biotechnology.
