KEAM Exam Pattern 2023 | Question Booklet | Marking Scheme: Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE) will soon going to conduct an entrance exam named as Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical entrance examination.. KEAM 2023 is scheduled to be held in the first week of  May 2023 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in offline mode; an OMR sheet is provided to mark answers.

Commissioner of Entrance Exams will release the paper pattern on its official website (www.cee-kerala.org). Engineering test comprises of 2 papers – Paper I (Physics and Chemistry) and Paper II (Mathematics) will be conducted in two days sessions.

KEAM Exam Pattern 2023

Standard of the entrance test is that of Higher Secondary or equivalent exam. Those who are going to appear for B.Pharm they must appear for Paper I only. Exam pattern for KEAM 2023 will be based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of (10+2) or equivalent exam.

KEAM 2023 Layout of Question Booklet

Question paper will be given in the form of a question booklet.

It will be provided before the definite time prescribed for the start of KEAM, to help in understanding the instructions to be followed. KEAM Exam Pattern 2023

Each question paper will have 4 description as detailed below:

  • Paper 1 – Physics and Chemistry | Versions: A1, A2, A3 and A4
  • Paper 2 – Mathematics | Versions: B1, B2, B3 and B4

Question booklet description will be printed on the top left margin of the facing sheet of the question booklet.

  • If the Roll Number ends in an odd number, then applicants musts get a question booklet marked A1/B1/A3/B3.
  • If the Roll Number ends in an even number, then applicants must get a question booklet marked A2/B2/A4/B4.

KEAM 2023 Exam Pattern in Details

  • Exam will comprise of 2 papers- Paper I and Paper II scheduled to be conducted on 2 consecutive days.
  • Subjects tested in Paper I will be Physics and Chemistry.
  • It will comprise of 120 objective questions to be solved within 150 minutes.
  • Similarly, Paper II will have 120 numerical problems of Maths to be solved at the same time.
  • Maths paper is obligatory for all engineering aspirants while Paper I is compulsory for Pharmacy.
  • Both the papers will be available in the English language only.
  • Applicants will receive the question sheet in the form of booklets
  • You need to mark their responses on an OMR sheet.
  • Maximum marks an applicants can score in each paper are 480.
  • You are requested to choose the most suitable answer out of 5 alternative options.

KEAM Marking Scheme

  • You should know the marking scheme in order to decide how to attempt the questions in the entrance exam.
  • There has been no modification in the marking scheme.

Marking scheme of KEAM 2023 is stated as follows:

  • 4 marks will be awarded for marking every accurate answer.
  • A penalty will be charged for marking incorrect or wrong answers ( 1 mark will be deducted from the total score)
  • No mark will be subtracted from the score of candidates for leaving a question blank or failure in attempting it.
  • The marking of two options on the OMR sheet will be considered as a wrong answer and penalty of -1 will be charged accordingly.

KEAM 2023 Important Instructions

  • You are requested to ensure some rules and regulations to maintain the correctness of the exam hall and to ensure that the exam proceeds properly.
  • You need to bring their KEAM 2023 Admit Card, blue or black ball-point pen and a clip board.
  • Forbidden items like correction fluid, calculator, logarithm table, mobile phones etc will not be permitted inside the exam centre
  • You need to report at their respective centre 30 minutes before the exam commences.
  • They must make sure that they fill up the details appropriately on the question booklet and the odd-even rule for KEAM Roll number and Question Booklet number match accordingly.
  • To mark a response on the OMR sheet, students must darken the bubble in the prescribed way or else it will not be counted.
