KVPY Eligibility 2023
Applicants who are going to appear for the aptitude test they must meet the given KVPY eligibility criteria according to the Stream. Before filling KVPY 2023 Application Form, check the given eligibility criteria.
Only Indian candidates can apply for the KVPY Fellowship programme.
For Stream SA:
- Those candidates studied in XI Standard (Science Subjects) in the academic year of 2023-2023 can apply for this test.
- Those who will score at least 80% marks in aggregate in Science & Mathematics subjects in Class X.
- Applicants need to secure minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD) in aggregate in Science Subjects in XII Standard Board Examination.
- Selected students fellowship will be activated only when they join an UG programme in Basic Science in the academic year 2023-2021.
For Stream SX:
- Applicants who studied in XII Standard (Science Subjects) in the academic year of 2023-2023 can appear.
- Applicants should obtain minimum 80% marks for Gen category & 70% marks for SC/ST/PWD category.
- Students can join the undergraduate programme in Basic Science (B.Sc/BS/B.Stat./B.Math./Int.M.Sc/MS) in the academic year 2023-2021.
For Stream SB:
- Those candidates studied in 1st year of UG course in Basic Science such as Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics and Biology leading to B.Sc/BS/B.Stat./B.Math./Int.M.Sc/MS in the academic year of 2023-2023 can appear for this exam.
- Applicants need to secure at least 60% marks in case of GEN category & 50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD category in aggregate in Science subjects in Intermediate Board Examination.
- Candidates have to obtain 60% marks in the 1st year final exam of B.Sc/BS/B.Stat./B.Math./Int.M.Sc/MS before taking up the fellowship, if awarded.
KVPY Complete Selection Process:
- Those whose KVPY application form will be accepted called for the first stage of selection process i.e. for aptitude test.
- Aptitude test will be held in the first week of November 2021 in online mode.
- It will be organized in various cities across the country.
- Question paper will in English as well as in the Hindi language.
- Question paper is of MCQ type and divided into 2 parts.
- Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects.
- Aptitude test will be same for Stream SA, SB and SX.
