NEST 2018 : Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Dates: The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) & University of Mumbai: Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE-CBS). is organised National Entrance Screening Test (NEST). It is a national level entrance examination.

NEST organised for admission in M.Sc. integrated programme. All interested applicants are suggested to read complete eligibility criteria before filling the application form. NISER conducts this entrance test in 59 (Fifty-Nine) cities all over the country.

All candidates can fill and submit the NEST 2018 application form online mode only not available offline mode. The online application form is available in the month of January 2018 to March 2018 (tentative). Fill the application form completely without any mistake.

The application fee is Rs.700/- for male applicants of General/OBC category and Rs.350/- for reserved category (SC/ST/PWD and female candidates). The fee payment can be paid through credit/debit, net banking or through DD of any bank drawn in the favour of NISER-NEST and payable at Bhubaneswar. NISER-NEST Eligibility criteria 2018

Education Qualification:

  • Applicants must have passed Intermediate or equivalent test in 2016 or 2017 with any combination of Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Biology subjects are eligible to this test.
  • Candidates who have passed Intermediate or equivalent test before 2016 are not eligible to this test.
  • Appearing applicants in the intermediate or equivalent test are also eligible to this test.
  • For admission in M.Sc. course, applicants must secure minimum 60% for General/OBC and 55% for reserved category (SC/ST/PWD) applicants in 12th or equivalent test.
  • Applicants should secure a position in NEST merit list.

NISER Age Criteria

  • For General and OBC- applicants born on after 1st August 1998 are eligible to this test.
  • For SC/ST/PWD and (Physically Handicapped) applicants: The age relaxation of 5 years is given.

NISER-NEST Exam Syllabus

The NEST exam syllabus will be followed by the exam pattern of CBSE/NCERT science syllabus of class XI and XII. The exam syllabus will comprise of Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics subjects. There is not any fixed syllabus for general section. In general section, question will be asked to the major historical milestones in chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, astronomy, environment and computer science.
