UGC National Eligibility Test will be regulated by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a national level entrance exam which gets organized twice every year to determine the eligibility of various applicants for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & the Assistant professor or only for Assistant Professor. Eligibility Criteria for National Eligibility Test

Age Criteria:

• For Junior Research Fellowship: Upper age limit is 30 years.
• No age limit for the Assistant Professor.

Qualification Requirement:

• Qualifying Exam:  Master’s degree or equivalent from a university recognized by UGC can apply. Ph.D candidates can also apply.
• All those who are appearing in the final semester of the master’s degree can also apply.

• Exam authority will soon going to released the  National Eligibility Test admit card 2023 one month prior to the examination
• Applicants have to bring a photo identity card along with the printout of online Admission Card on the day of exam.
• Without valid hall ticket no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall. No National Eligibility Test admit card will be sent to the candidates individually by post.

NET Exam Pattern 2023

• National Eligibility Test Mode: Exam will be conducted through online mode.
• Type of Questions: Objective type questions.
• Duration: Exam duration will be 180 minutes (3 hours).
• Exam Shifts: It will be organized in two shifts, i.e. First Shift 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Second Shift 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
• Papers: NET will be consisting of two papers..
• Medium of Test: Medium will be either Hindi or English.
• Marking Scheme: Each question will carry 2 marks.
• Marking Scheme: No provision of negative marking.

• National Eligibility Test Application fee can be submitted through credit/debit card or e-Challan (.
• Processing charges & GST need to be submit by applicants , as applicable.
• Application fee cannot be refundable under any circumstances.
