Selection Process for Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) JE  is as follows-

RRB JE Recruitment 2023: Process of Selection

There will be a total three stages of selection:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT 1 & 2)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination

Selection Procedure: Selection Procedure consists of Four Stages.

  • 1st Stage CBT
  • 2nd Stage CBT
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Fitness Test

1st Stage CBT:

Questions for the online examinations will be generally in conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifications.

Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choices and likely to include Questions pertaining

  1. Mathematics
  2. General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  1. General Science

2nd Stage CBT: 

  • Short listing of Candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT exam shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in the 1st Stage CBT Exam.
  • Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining

  • Basics of Computers and Applications
  1. Basics of Environment and Pollution Control
  2. Technical Abilities

Document Verification:

  • During document verification, applicants are required to produce their original documents
  • Certificates obtained in any other arrangement will not be accepted.

Necessary Documents:

  • Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate
  • Equivalent certificate as Proof for Date of Birth.
  • 10 +2 / Inter / Higher Secondary/PUC (As applicable)
  • Diploma / Engineering/Science Degree Certificate with Semester wise Mark Sheets
  • SC/ST certificate
  • OBC-NCL certificate
  • Non creamy layer declaration by OBC candidates
  • Income Certificate for Economically Backward Classes
  • Minority Community declaration on Non – judicial Stamp Paper

For A-3 Medical Standard: 

  • Physically fit all respects.
  • Visual Standards-Distance Vision: Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D)
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6,0.6 with or without glasses
  • Must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision.

For B-1 Medical Standard: 

  • Physically fit in all respects
  • Visual Standards-Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D)
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required
  • Must pass test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision.

For B-2 Medical Standard
