UPSC CDS Online Application Form 2024

The combined Defence Services exam is a popular national-level recruitment exam through which eligible applicants can join IMA, INA, AFA, and Officers Training Academy. Union Public Service Commission conducts the CDS exam twice a year. CDS-I and CDS-II exams 2024 will be held in the month of February and September 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Applicants be an Indian citizens, or

  • A subject of Bhutan/Nepal or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1st, 1962 with the intention to settle here permanently, or
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire & Ethiopia, Zambia, or Vietnam with an intention to settle here permanently.
  • Applicants other than Indian citizens must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the concerned department.

Age Limit and Marital Status

  • Indian Military Academy (IMA): Unmarried male category applicants, born between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2003 are eligible.
  • Indian Naval Academy (INA): Unmarried male category applicants , born between 2nd January 1998 to 1st January 2003 are eligible.
  • Air Force Academy (AFA): Age must be within 20 to 24 years as on crucial date i.e. 1st January.

Educational qualification

  • Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy–Bachelor degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
  • Indian Naval Academy–Bachelor degree in Engineering from a recognized university/Institution will be eligible for CDS exam.
  • Air Force Academy– Bachelor of Engineering or a graduation degree with Physics and Mathematics subjects at 10+2 level from a recognized institute/University.
  • Students who are going to in the qualifying exam in the final semester/year of degree course will also be eligible s.

Complete process to fill UPSC CDS Online Application Form 2024

  • UPSC CDS Online Application Form 2024 will be available online at the official website of the UPSC.
  • Applicants can apply as per the given schedule.
  • Students need to submit only one UPSC CDS Online Application Form 2024 at a time.
  • UPSC CDS Online Application Form 2024 will consist of two parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II.
  • Be careful while making entries in form.
  • Upload scanned photo and scanned signature as per requirement given.
  • Pay the requisite application fee.

CDS Exam Pattern 2024

  • CDS exam will be conducted in offline mode i.e. Pen & Paper based mode.
  • Questions will be multiple choices in nature.
  • Questions paper for UPSC CDS exam will be available in both Hindi and English except English section.
  • Penalty of 1/3rd marks will be imposed on the wrong attempt.
  • Answer sheet must be clean and wrinkle-free.
  • Applicants need to circle answer properly as the OMR sheets are checked by machines.

CDS Admit Card 2024

  • Commission will issue CDS admit card or hall ticket to diligent candidates before the exam.
  • Hall Ticket will be available on the official website of the UPSC prior to the exam.
  • You may download the admit card with the help of registration ID and date of birth.
  • Competent authority will not send any hard copy of the admit card to any individual.
  • Students must bring admit card along with identity proof on the day of the exam.
