Eligibility Criteria for ‘Assistant Public Provident Fund Commissioner’ in EPFO
- Indian citizens and those who have transferred from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and East African Countries and lastingly settled in India are eligible to apply.
- Those who belong to other countries should submit an official document of eligibility, issued by the Government of India.
- Graduation in any discipline is the minimum education qualification.
- Apart from this, diploma holders in Labour Laws/ Public Administration are preferable.
- Age should not be more than 35 years of age at the time of filling the application form
- Relaxation up to 5 years in age will be given to reserved categories.
Selection Procedure of ‘Assistant Public Provident Fund Commissioner’ in EPFO
- Recruitment will be on the basis of scores obtained in the written test and final interview conducted by UPSC.
- Written test consist objective type multiple choice questions.
- Duration of the test is 2 hours.
- Maximum marks allotted for the exam is 100.
- The medium of exam will be in Hindi as well as the English Language.
The question paper comprises of 2 sections such as
- General English
- General Studies
General English:
GE contains questions to measure candidates’ proficiency in the English Language.
General Studies will contain questions from the following topics
- Development and Globalization
- Current Events
- Trends in Indian Economy
- Industrial Relations and Labour Laws
- Basic Knowledge of Computer Application
- Statistics
Exam details:
- There will be negative marking for wrong answers.
- One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
- Those who have cleared the written test will be shortlisted for the personal interview.
- There will be separate weightage of marks for interview.

- You need to apply online from the official website of UPSC.
- Applicants need to pay Rs 25/- as application fee.
- Those who belong to reserved categories other than OBC need not to pay the fee
- Fee payment can be done through any branches of State Bank of India or through net banking facility.
- UPSC EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organisation) Application will be released through the decision of UPSC.
- The registration procedure will begin from August month.

- Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) will be responsible for making the availability of admit card on the website.
